The Emilio Aguinaldo College Cavite hammered down the Polytechnic University of the Philippines with a score of 88-79 in the 29th's men's basketball at the PUP Gymnasium in Sta. Mesa, Manila.

The NCRAA men's basketball tournament started earlier at the PUP Gymnasium with EAC Cavite's 1-2-2 scoring record and PUP with the 1-2-3 record standing.

EAC has JR Illustrimo, Ajao, Tubio, Daublo, and Quiros, while Rocky Pascacio, Rover Lauzon, Daniel Amor, Matthew Tambong, and JJ Cruz represent the starting five of the PUP's team.

With EAC's team trailing 88-79, Emilio Aguinaldo College Cavite turned around things for Polytechnic University of the Philippines this tournament despite the latter having the homecourt advantage.

According to PUP President Manuel Muhi, the first to ever use the PUP Gymnasium was the athletes from different colleges and universities competing for the 29th Season of NCRAA after the gymnasium's renovation last 2019.

"Mas maganda 'yung naeexpose sila sa mga national games like these, kasi 'yung competition na sinasalihan lang namin is only for the state universities and colleges. This time, iba't-ibang universities na ito, more on private schools," President Muhi answered on why he chose to provide exposure for the PUP athletes to compete and represent the University in NCRAA.

"We're very happy to be part of this NCRAA games na ito. Don't forget to support PUP. Para sa PUP, Para sa Sintang Paaralan, mabuhay po tayong lahat." he also added.
